Whereas, Student jobs are a flexible way of employment while;
Whereas, The current pay system for student jobs is Job Class A gets $7.50 a hour, Job Class B gets $8.50 a hour, and job Class C gets $9.50 a hour; now, therefore be it
Resolved, That the Associated Students of the University of Alaska Fairbanks acknowledge the rising cost of living and the negative effects this has for the students; and be it further
Resolved, That ASUAF supports the raising the minimum pay scales by $0.50 within the next academic year, and further increases as the cost of living continues to rise; and be it further
Resolved, That ASUAF acknowleges that student jobs are the only employment that many students have during the Fall and Spring Semesters.
