Whereas, The following bylaws, which were gathered from what appears to be the most accurate list of bylaws, have yet to be fulfilled by ASUAF Senators or Committees in at least the current semester:
202.3.1 Every Senator shall be required to maintain two (2) regular office hours per week in the Senate Chambers, or other location approved by the Senate Chair
211.4.1 To enforce and maintain records of each Senator's office hours
221.3.1 To have the minutes of each meeting publicly posted, sent over the ASUAF listserve, and prepared for approval at the next regular meeting no later than 96 hours after the adjourning meeting at which the minutes were taken.
311.8 To ensure these bylaws are enacted and maintained
312.5 To outline procedures for the performance of these duties [in regard to finances] in the Finance Procedure Manual
312.6 To review the Finance Procedure Manual in the first month of the Fall and Spring semesters every year
316.2 To make sure amendments to ASUAF documents are logged
316.4 To present a budget summary to the Senate monthly
316.6 To maintain and update club funding records and records of petitions and contracts for loans and grants to recognized student organizations
321.1 To ensure that all ASUAF Senators are fully informed of their duties, responsibilities, and resources available to them
321.2 To hold an ASUAF retreat within the first two (2) weeks of the spring and fall semesters, which shall include a review of ASUAF procedures and the legislative process as well as goal setting and planning sessions
321.7 To Develop and maintain an ASUAF Senate Handbook to be distributed to all Senators
325.2 To review the ASUAF Constitution in the spring of every even year
331.1 To hear and inform the Senate of student concerns
331.2 To promote awareness of issues affecting the student body as members of the University community, the Fairbanks North Star Borough, the state of Alaska, the United States, and the global community
331.3 To conduct polls of students in order to ascertain their desires for new and improved services offered by ASUAF and student opinion of ASUAF as a whole
331.5 To actively consider and propose new services beneficial to ASUAF Members and the University community
331.6 To offer constructive criticism to all levels of ASUAF regarding services to ASUAF members
331.8 To have a working relationship with the Residence Life Department, to ensure that the needs of students living on campus are being met.
341.1 To report to the ASUAF Senate the activities of, and issues being considered by, the Faculty Senate and Staff Council following each respective meeting
341.3 To ensure that the students are informed of curriculum and policy changes
341.4 To ensure that library hours, facilities, supplies, and personnel meet the students’ needs.
346.2 To make sure that all student seats on all campus boards, assemblies and committees are filled and to maintain records of who holds each seat
351.3 To inform students of issues facing the university on the local, state, and federal levels.
351.4 To work with university faculty, staff and administrators to promote the university to local and state officials
351.5 To provide student presence on the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce
351.8 To foster working relationships between the ASUAF Senate and the members of the Interior delegation
351.9 To foster student participation in political affairs
351.11 To advise the Senate Chair and the Website Designer on improvements, suggestions, and/or changes regarding the ASUAF website
356.2 To oversee involvement of the ASUAF Senate in university advocacy
356.5 To oversee, in conjunction with the Government Relations Director, the development of political training sessions for the members of ASUAF.

Whereas, It is imperative that in order to have effective members of the Senate by the Fall 2008 semester that these bylaws be carried out within a timely manner; now, therefore be it
Directed, That the above mentioned bylaws be carried out by Senators that are assigned to them by March 31, 2008 and that completion of these duties be reflected in the “End of the Year Reports” by applicable Senators; and be it further
Directed, That if those responsible for these bylaws cannot guarantee completion of them by March 31, 2008, that a strategic plan be drafted for each bylaw that includes the means to complete said bylaw by the end of the Spring 2008 semester.
