Whereas, SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) is a club at UAF that develops community based economic projects that help to enhance the students and community;
Whereas, SIFE has won the 2008 Regional championship in Seattle and qualified to compete against 15 other regional champions in 2008 SIFE National Exposition in Chicago;
Whereas, Some of the SIFE students need assistance with travel grant to bring UAF to the top at 2008 SIFE National Exposition and ASUAF now has an opportunity to assist this worthy endeavor; and
Whereas, SIFE would have secured Club Council funding if they had been recognized by the Leadership Program in time, and would have secured Travel Funding but they did not know the results of their regional competition until after the deadline; now, therefore be it,
Enacted, That ASUAF allocates $1406 from rollover to SIFE for the purposes of subsidizing travel for SIFE to compete at the national level in Chicago.
